To kick off the exciting new module on Crime and Deviance in Sociology, our pupils visited the Rechtbank Noord-Holland in Alkmaar! It was an incredibly interesting morning as they had the unique opportunity to witness three real-life court cases in action. This first-hand experience provided invaluable insights and offered concrete examples to explore the different sociological perspectives on crime. It also sparked discussions on the relationships between class, gender, ethnicity, and crime. What a fantastic way to kick off the module! 馃殌鈿栵笍
